Start of School Updates

Hello Eagle Families!

We want to share some updates and reminders regarding the start of school next week.  We are excited to announce that we'll have a new friendly face in the office.  Mrs. Guaren Long will serve as the new school secretary and we are excited to welcome her to the Heritage family!  School begins on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 8am.  Breakfast is served daily at 7:30am.  At Heritage, instruction will be in-person for a full 5 days a week. Families seeking remote or independent study learning, will need to enroll in Snowline's Virtual Academy. According to state and local guidelines, masks are required in all buildings and are optional when outdoors. Please be sure to send a mask (or two) with your child as well as a water bottle marked with their name.  We have water bottle filling and handwashing stations on campus. Part of the current public health order requires us to limit visitors on campus, so we won't be able to have visitors in classrooms or other buildings for now.  For more information regarding Covid guidelines for K-12 schools, visit: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/K-12-Guidance-2021-22-School-Year.aspx#

On Wednesday, Aug. 11th, we will hold our Back To School Night from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  In order to keep contact to a minimum, we invite our Kindergarten through 2nd grade families from 5:30-6:10pm, our 3rd-5th grade families from 6:10-6:50pm, and our 6th-8th grade families from 6:50-7:30pm.  You will be able to meet the teachers and walk around campus.  We will also have a VIPA table under the canopy where you can preorder an emergency packet and join the VIPA.  Class lists with teacher names will be posted after 4pm that afternoon as well.

We continue to work on our student drop-off and pick-up plan and will keep you posted as that develops.  Please continue to watch for emails such as this and visit our website https://ths.snowlineschools.com/ for updates.

We know that there have been many changes and that returning to in-person learning is going to be a bit bumpy at first, but with patience and grace we know that we will all rise to the occasion TOGETHER.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Debbie Arbizu

New Heritage Principal
